Jammu & Kashmir: Heaven on Earth

                   I can't forget those pleasent springs and the cotton-like snow. It was 1st of May, I got up got ready and packed my bag to go to the Heaven on Earth! The train was till Jammu at 1 pm but it was delayed by 2 hours so it came at 3 pm we caught the train there was one of my father's friend's family already in the train. We were 4 families going together. We stayed at Jammu for 1 night and then during dawn we left for Srinagar. It was a long journey, of about 330km. We stayed at Srinagar at night and in the morning we left for Sonmarg where we had to go to the location on horse backs! I was very afraid at first but then I was used to it. It was to play with the snow there which was on a mountain. Then we went to the hotel in Sonmarg named "The Habitat". We rested for the night and then we proceeded for Gulmarg. We actually have to fo to the location through ropeway, but due to rain the ropeway was closed so, we were not able to go to the main location. So we returned to our hotel in Sonmarg and then to Srinagar again. We stayed at night in Srinagar, then the next day we went to Pehelgam where we lived in a resort surrounded with moutains of snow. The same day then we proceeded to see place where one of the scenes of the movie "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" was shooted. Then we went to see the Kashmir Valley, Mini Singapore and other such things. We had to go to Mini Singapore through horses and had to climb a hill on horseback. I was afraid of falling. But we came back quickly. Then we went to the resort and rested for the night. Then the next day we went back to Srinagar and stayed there for the night in house boats. The next we went for some shopping and then caught the flight for Jammu at 1pm. Then from there we went to Katra by road and then we rested in the hotel for that night. Next day at dawn we went to vaishno devi's temple. It is at the top of a hill. We can go to the hill by either helicopter or by climbing. We climbed to the to of the hill. It took 6-7 hours for us to reach till the top. We prayed there and had our lunch. My left leg was paining too much during lunch. But we had a group of doctors with us, which were my father and his friends who worked with him. Till we reached to the ground my leg was perfectly alright. That night we stayed at Katra, then the next day we went to Amritsar. When we reached there it was night. We stayed at a hotel which was not good so we went to a neighbouring hotel and stayed there. The next day we went o Golden Temple and then we went for shopping. Then after that we came back to Vadodara at midnight. This was my exellent trip to Jammu and Kashmir.
